1 Cor 7:36-38 But if any man thinks he is behaving improperly toward his virgin, if she is past the flower of youth, and thus it must be, let him do what he wishes. He does not sin; let them marry. Nevertheless he who stands steadfast in his heart, having no necessity, but has power over his own will, and has so determined in his heart that he will keep his virgin, does well. So then he who gives her in marriage does well, but he who does not give her in marriage does better.
At one point it sounds like he is marrying her then it seems like she is his daughter - sounds very funny - is it a bad translation?

I was reading in 1 Samuel 28: 3-25 and it clearly says that Saul used a medium to connect with Samuel... i had always understood that mediums tried to consult with the dead but actually were talking to evil spirits or familiar spirits, however it clearly reads that samuel spoke...??!? Can you shed anymore light on the subject?
The spirit filled bible doesnt say any more than Mediums & spiritualists are those who deal with spirits of the dead or ancestral spirits and those who contact the spirits. It says.. Resort to these is consistently prohibited by the law of God.
